Dibble Dibble Dop!

The weather has started to turn, and we had some slight concerns about it.  Despite it, this became one of the most entertaining/fun shoots I’ve done yet!  For those of you worried about rain?  Don’t.  It’s your friend, and can make for some really fun shots!  Thanks, M, M, and K for making this one great!  Hope you enjoy the photos!  :D

Buckles Wedding

A little over a month ago I had fun shooting parts of this wedding.  There were two of us working together, and I got the family shots, while the other photographer captured the ceremony.  We will be sharing each others photos on our separate media, and the bride and groom will end up with something pretty fantastic as a result.

At the pumpkin patch!

About a week ago, I went out to Heritage Farm in Aloha to do a shoot for the V family.  This farm features a beautiful apple orchard,  and a small pumpkin patch as well.  They offer hayrides, and the proceeds from the ride go to a local high school.  We, of course, took the hayride, which went around the farm, which was very nice, and appeared to be doing quite well.  We also frolicked in the orchard a bit, and got some fun shots in the pumpkin patch and hay maze as well.  That picture you see of M in the hay was actually a product of my following him into the maze, and crawling around in there after him.  Very fun!  Great time, had by all, for sure, and LOTS and LOTS of pictures resulted!Vhay Family5 watermark copyVhay Family10 watermark copyVhay Family28 watermark copyVhay Family45 watermark copyVhay Family53 watermark copyVhay Family79 watermark copyVhay Family90 watermark copyVhay Family112 bwcopy watermark copyVhay Family118 bwcopy watermark copyVhay Family127 watermark copyVhay Family153 watermark copy

It was a real pleasure to meet this family.  They kept me laughing the whole time, and kept things fun!  It’s not often that I fill up my CF card that holds 635 photos, but it was easy with these guys!  Thanks for a great shoot, and for helping make the benefit worthwhile, guys!

Great big, fun… uh… eventful job in Vancouver

This shoot started out at The Academy Chapel and Ballroom, and ended up at Esther Short Park.  Because… we were kicked out!  I along with many other photographers have been there without incident, and suddenly last Sunday we were all given the boot at the same time.  I will be calling them to figure out how to improve my relationship with this venue, becuase it is a valuable one to both my clients, and myself.  Further bulletins as events warrant, on that one.  I am hoping there won’t be a fee for my clients here, but if there ends up being one, I will be sure to disclose that at the onset of booking a location.

At any rate, this family was very agreeable, and we were able to finish our shoot not far away at Esther Short.  This location is also quite nice, and offers a gazebo, as well as some other cool features like a large standing stone clock.  Despite our little set-back, this was a very fun shoot.

More from the Benefit for Aaron and Kristin

These guys were great sports.  Fun to work with, cracked me up during the entire shoot.  This lady here is another photographer, who was generous enough to participate in the benefit.  The beauty of working with a subject, and family who also do what you do comes into play when you realize they all know how to pose for you without a lot of direction.  Very nice.  I had a lot of fun that day, and was so glad I had such great people to work with!

A few favourites from the Benefit for Aaron and Kristin

The day that I went down to shoot for the Benefit for Aaron and Kristin, Eugene decided to be a rainy mess.  It had been gorgeous every day up to that day for a while.  I received a head’s up from this lady about it, so we brainstormed for a little while about rainy day locations.  I settled on Willamette Hall on the U of O Campus, because I was remembering the very cool atrium in that building.  It was, of course, locked.  But the covered area on the west side of the building was not, thankfully.  This is where we did this shoot.  This was a family of troopers.  Even the baby held it together, considering the circumstances!
